It's unbelievable how time flies. As I work on this website I'm finding it hard to believe that it has almost been two years since I last had a website up and running. So you might inquire as to why an artist like me go two years without a website. It's all plain and simple... I have a very 'business-oriented' side of me that is constantly wanting to broaden my scope of ideas and work them into my everyday life. I have a habit of forming business after business to stay one step ahead in this life. Two years ago I formed a company called Creative Image Licensing & Management (CILM) in which I brought a lot of popular artists together to form a heavy duty licensing company that is geared toward promoting, selling, and protecting artist images over the internet. It grew very quickly and thus, something had to give in my life for a moment and it happened to be my pursuit of the ultimate painting - which, unfortunately, I found out a long time ago probably isn't ever going to appear from the tips of my fingers for the rest of my life.

So here we are two years after the inception of CILM. The business is bigger and better than ever and with constant help from my lovely wife, Michelle, I am finding more and more time to shoot more models, sling more paint, and turn out some more great work that my fans love.

All of this, of course, was made possible by humble beginnings. Here's a brief snippet:

I started this journey at the American College for the Applied Arts (Atlanta) in 1988 and then a few years later I found myself graduating from the Art Institute of Houston and heading straight into a job illustrating for a well-known children's book company. Yes, that's right... a children's book company. I kept with this job until 1998 when I decided that it was no longer beneficial for me to stay with the company. While I was with the company I would teach art classes in various parts of the nation and I found that the income I was making doing other various jobs and teaching was quickly taking over the income I was making illustrating children's books.

I didn't actually start painting women as my primary subject until 2001. It began with a simple photoshoot with a pretty model, some strobes and a backdrop. After that it was just a matter of building this career of mine to where I am today and where I will be tomorrow.

I live in sunny Southern California with the love of my life, Michelle, who happens to be my elementary school sweetheart and our five kids. I have a wonderful family, successful businesses, beautiful women to paint... -sigh- it's a hard life but someone's got to do it. ;o)
